2013 FISHING REPORTS

I was down at the Westport River yesterday. Though I didn't get anything (didn't have a lot of time), there were some guys, in skiffs, fishing the rocks, just off the ramp.
They were catching tautog, not a lot, but they were catching them, so I guess the season is on.

I didn't go down to the boat today, however, I just spoke with John Savasta, and he said that he had taken some nice tautog, and a couple of schoolie stripers from his houseboat. He also said that there were a number of boats taking stripers in the 15 to 20 lb. range, on the incoming tide, from next to the number 34 nun, on chunks of pogies.
